Other critters
Note: all pics with an * above them are ones I did completely from my own imagination. I used no base to draw these pics from.

Xellos, again! Right after Martina, another Slayers character, trips so ungracefully, he made this face.

Also from Slayers, Amelia. White Magic shrine maiden, and a fanatic for Justice! *strikes a heroic pose so reminiscent of Amelia and chuckles*. Poor Amelia. Her home town is about to be destroyed by a big piece of falling earth... What else are ya gonna do but cry yer eyes out? *bonks her on the head* Get Lina to cast a Dragon Slave! Duh!

Xelloss, Trickster Priest. :) (Slayers Next/second season of Slayers). (Adobe 5.0)

Zel, again! Gee, ya think I like this guy or what? :) Adobe 5.0, and boy does it look like a cel! You can find gargified Lina and Zel pics in my 'other gargoyles' section.

I have other interests besides gargoyles. Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears" is just one. This is Dingleberry. You can see more GB art and stuff at my Gummi Bears Directory.

I am also an anime fan, as ya can see from the Slayers pics below and above. This is Chichiri from Fushigi Yugi, my favorite character in the series. I devoted my first and only shrine to him. Go visit the Shrine of Chichi!. Hee hee!

This is a sketch of a butterfly wing found on my way to the zoo. The color is written in but the pattern is very clear. Cool!

Also in the Slayers series with Lina is Zelgadis. Yeah, he's a good guy. He just has a few.. problems *grins*. These sketches are based off the first tape.

After watching the Disney movie Mulan, I found that the most striking scenes were of death and resolution. This inspired me to draw the following three pics. This first follows the dialogue of the main bad guy: "...the little girl will be missing her doll. We should return it to her."

This second Mulan pic has the silent but striking view of helmet, sword, and doll of the fallen mentioned characters.

This last pic from Mulan is a continuation of the second, where the shot pans down to just the doll propped up against the sword in the snow. Innocence does get hurt. I wrote in my own phrase, "The hardest cold of all."
I volunteer at the Sierra Safari Zoo in Reno, NV:) This is a white tiger, Siberian, male, and only 3 1/2 weeks old! Too cute!! This was for a t-shirt design but was never used.
Drawn from a photo of the two emus at the zoo I volunteer at.
A Styracosaur bust, from a picture in a German airline magazine:) It was too cool NOT ta draw!
Another CMB-inspired pic. This "Summer Peach Fairy" is my own creation. Not dated but it was done 1.31.99. Like Cicely Mary Barker, I base my pics most often on poses. I just happen ta use photos instead of live models:) And the scanner did NOT do the colors justice! ARgh! :P
I really like Cicely Mary Barker's flower fairies-- enough ta draw them, too. She started publishing these fantastic pieces in the 1920's!! Wow... Here is the Crab Apple Fairy, from the 1999 Flower Fairy calender, minus the background. Sketched on watercolor paper w/ dry watercolor pencils, by me of course :)
And a main character from Gold Digger who just got her spots! Brianna Diggers! Wow! She does look different!
An Ewok?? Yeah, I like them ritter furrries >:) This is a pic I drew from the Star Wars Encyclopedia. If anyone is curious as to how a pic looks before I color or copy it, now's yer chance:). This is my idea of a sketch:) And if anyone has any ewok pics from the show that I could put up, feel free to em me:) The Ewok's name is Asha and she's from the Ewoks cartoon from 1985.
A pic I did summer of '97. Ithyaka and her two sisters when they were hatching. Cuute!!:):)The little beak poking out in the back is Ithyaka. The dark brown sis is Maylei and the fire-colored one is Kithl. And boy are they rambunctious!
May, a centaur from the Sega game "Shining Force II".
