Siona & Bakahl
name: Siona (girl) and Bakahl (boy)
race: Fishing Cat Thunderian (melanistic), Muusershik Clan, East Province
gender: female/male
age or date of birth/hatching: April 29, 1998. They just turned 6 yrs old. It isn't known which twin was born first.
description: Both children are much darker and baring a more solid fur color than the more common Fishing Cat Thunderian. It was hard to tell as babies, because all young Fishing Cats are dark, but within a few years, it became aparent to those raising them that the children were going to remain unusually dark....... Bakahl has a malformed right leg, making it less muscled and a half inch shorter than the left. Siona has almost human-like ears. Her eyes are more sensitive to light than her brother's but she tries not to let this slow her down. Siona's left hand and Bakahl's right have only four fingers. No explanation is given, but judging by the scars, either the fingers were removed, or the two were attached at birth and later separated. Both children have the reddish eyes commonly seen in a throwback, which would also retain the vibrant eye color beyond toddler years. This is the only other throwback feature, throwback being a derived descriptor for any child bearing traits common to the ancient ancestry of Thunderan cat clans, i.e. animalistic and less human characteristics and features.

special notes: On adoption, the twins were found to have contracted a condition called microcerebrosis, infecting their nervous system right from the brain. It occurs when a micro-organism particular to one less-studied solar system attaches itself to a host brain and spreads to the rest of the host's synapses. This will eventually kill the host. The twins were placed in cryogenic suspension for the present and as of now are locked in stasis. No breakthroughs to counter the incurable microcerebrosis have yet come about...
