Pohda

name: Pohda^kl^ee^kl^drei -^kl^Endo Montar^kl^-Ijari
Pronounciation: Montar-Ijari use a lot of clicks in their language, hence the ^kl^ in Pohda's name. It's difficult to say it all, and she doesn't mind if we call her Pohda for short.
race: Sissalthi (reptile Mutant), Montar-Ijari clan, Endo subclan
gender: female
age or date of birth/hatching: Pohda is seven. Her clan representative says that she was born during the long rains. I can guess at April? She is also chronologically three years old but all Sissalthi age rapidly while young, mentally as well as physically, so she is seven.
description: Like all Sissalthi, Pohda has gray-brown skin which is scaly. Her kind resemble snakes in a way, but with humanoid arms and legs. She has a long tail that is not prehensile and expressive brown eyes. At seven, she is just as curious as any other child of a given race and has many questions. Pohda does not come from an area that taught females much of technology until they reached their teens so much of what she sees is new to her. This is not a clan policy to control females but rather to preserve their basic heritage and keep skills of cooking and craft intact instead of every youngster going off to join the service or be a spacer. Because of this, she seems a simple-minded child, but I assure you, she is not.
likes: Pohda is fascinated by round shapes and spheres, hence the balls and her choice of beds. She has two beds. See the special notes below. I found Meisan's old sit 'n spin and she loves that thing! She'll also play with her blocks for hours. I find the round ones everywhere around the house however. She is also fond of purple things.

dislikes: People who are quick to anger, people who laugh at her-- she's likely to bite them!
favorite color: purple
favorite food: Eggs!
favorite movie: Enemy Mine
dreams of being: A teacher or helper of people, to show that speaking different isn't bad.
favorite saying: "I am a round one!"
family: By her own words, she's adopted Thom as her... Well, I can't say brother. She doesn't really know what that is.
geneology and history: Mother killed during a raid that freed Thom from certain slavery, it is the way of the Montar-Ijari to orphan a child rather than let it be raised without a parent of the same sex. So Pohda was sent to Adamante. This is not to be cruel, again, but to maintain their way of life. All female children are raised primarily by their mothers and all male children reared by their fathers. Because her mother died defending him, Pohda latched onto the idea of Thom and, upon meeting him, has rarely if ever left his side, much to his aggravation. Pohda was adopted from the Adamante Adoption Agency April 2, 2034.
special notes: Pohda prefers to sleep in Thom's room but not in his bed so I'm considering giving the little dome bed below some wheels in order to prevent Pohda from running a wave in both rooms' carpets.

Room was wallpapered by Jade Griffin (bg and bar) but all furniture came from Adamante.
